Welcome! Here, Green Velvet will explore why creating your own wallpaper is crucial for hospitality spaces, and how it can significantly benefit your business. We’ll share how you can increase your ROI in the interior design of your space simply by implementing thoughtful design. Maximizing Space in Hospitality Settings: The Power of Layered Seating
In the world of hospitality, creating a space that maximizes efficiency while ensuring guest comfort is crucial.
One effective strategy that has gained traction in recent years is the implementation of layered seating; think WeWork and Soho House.
By incorporating layered seating, businesses can enhance guest experiences and, in turn, boost client traffic and referrals.

Vendor Highlight: KinKa NYC. “No Plants, No Life”
Surrounded by plants - that’s how we prefer to be, and it just so happens to be KinKa’s specialty.
KinKa is a team of experienced horticulturists with a beautiful, botanical shop located in the East Village.
We worked closely with co-founder EunYoung to curate a diverse collection of plants for the space. Their motto, “No Plants, No Life”, is exactly how we feel, too.

We Think Typical, Bulky Reception Desks Are “Out” - Here’s Why
It’s considered industry standard to create a large, sometimes L-shaped reception desk in the lobby of a public space - kind of like the one we tore down at the start of construction.
But, one of the driving principles Green Velvet followed while designing the reception area was to maintain a fun, speakeasy-type ambiance.
To put it quite frankly - we think a typical, bulky reception desk would have killed the vibe.

Why Curate 7 Hand-Crafted Lights with Fine Brass Chains?
The short answer: Green Velvet is all about subtle innuendos.
Most elements in our designs actually have hidden meanings.
Working closely with our friends at Arteriors, we outfitted the space with hand-made lighting; each draped differently, but with the same cascading antique brass and worn-nickel chains.
